Description
Diamin Plus 2 Tablet is a combination medicine that consists of imipramine and diazepam. It is an effective medicine used for the treatment of depression (a medical condition that affects your mood). It helps in regulating the mood and behavioural changes thereby help in treating other psychiatric medical conditions. Diamin Plus 2 Tablet works by increasing the levels of a chemical substance in the brain called serotonin and helps in regulating mood and treats depression. Diamin Plus 2 Tablet may cause side effects like weight gain, tiredness, constipation, dry mouth, etc. Consult your doctor if these symptoms stay for a long time or if they become severe. This medicine may also cause dizziness and blurred vision. Hence do not drive or operate any machine during the treatment. Do not use this medicine if you are allergic to it. Diamin Plus 2 Tablet is not recommended for use in children below 12 years of age. Diamin Plus 2 Tablet can be taken as with or without food. The duration of treatment will be decided by your doctor based on the severity of your condition and other underlying diseases. Take this medicine at the same time every day and do not skip any dose or discontinue the treatment, as it may cause withdrawal symptoms such as anxiety, sleep disturbances, irritability, etc. Due to serious side effects, this combination medicine is banned in India. Diamin Plus 2 Tablet may not be suitable for all people. Inform your doctor if you have diabetes, liver, heart or kidney problem, or a history of seizures, glaucoma before taking this medicine. Close evaluation concerning your current medicines is necessary to avoid any undesired side effects. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or are planning a pregnancy consult your doctor before taking this medication.

Allergy

Withdrawal symptoms

Surgery

Bipolar disorder

Diamin Plus 2 Tablet is not recommended in bipolar disorder. Symptoms of mania and depression can worsen upon the usage of this medicine. Consult your doctor and report the incidence of bipolar depression or mania before receiving this medicine.

Drowsiness

Diamin Plus 2 Tablet may increase your risk of dizziness, sleepiness, or visual disturbances. If you experience such symptoms, avoid driving or operating machines.

Missed Dose

If you forget to take a dose of Diamin Plus 2 Tablet, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double the dose to compensate for a missed one.

Overdose

Never take more than the prescribed dose. Overdose of this medicine may cause serious undesirable effects. Contact your doctor in case of an overdose with Diamin Plus 2 Tablet.
