Description
Diabose M (500/50 mg) Tablet is a combination Metformin and Acarbose. It is an anti-diabetic medicine used in the treatment of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (a condition in which your blood sugar levels are high because your body does not use the insulin hormone it makes properly to move sugar from the blood into the cells). This medicine works by decreasing the absorption of sugar from the intestine. It also improves the body’s response to insulin (a hormone that enables your body to use sugar) and decreases sugar production in the liver. Diabose M (500/50 mg) Tablet shows common side effects such as diarrhoea, stomach upset, low sugar level, nausea, headache, etc. These side effects usually subside with time. However, if they persist or worsen, consult your doctor for further assistance. Avoid driving vehicles or operating heavy machines while taking this medication, as it can cause dizziness. Avoid taking this medicine if you are allergic to it. Diabose M (500/50 mg) Tablet may be taken with or without food. Take the medicine in the dose and duration prescribed by your doctor. For ease of remembering, take this tablet around the same time every day. Do not stop taking this medicine unless advised by your doctor, even if your sugar levels are normal. Abrupt discontinuation of this medicine may worsen your condition and/or lead to further complications. Diabose M (500/50 mg) Tablet is not recommended for use if you have metabolic acidosis (increased acid levels in your blood), severe kidney problems, liver cirrhosis (scarring of the liver), or stomach and intestinal conditions such as inflammatory bowel disease (pain and swelling in the intestine), colonic ulceration (sores in the lining of the large intestine), partial intestinal obstruction (partial blockage of the small intestine in which the contents of the intestine cannot pass through it), or marked inability to digest or absorb food. Also, inform your doctor if you have other medical conditions and about your ongoing medications. Diabose M (500/50 mg) Tablet should be used with caution if you have liver, heart, or kidney problems. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before taking this medicine. Diabose M (500/50 mg) Tablet is not recommended for use in children below 18 years of age due to the lack of safety and efficacy data.
