Desowen Cream is a topical medicine that consists of Desonide. It is used to treat swelling and itching associated with various skin conditions like eczema (thick, dry, and itchy skin), psoriasis (dry and itchy skin with scaly patches), dermatitis (skin irritation), etc. Desowen Cream works by blocking the action of certain substances that cause swelling, redness, and itching. Desowen Cream may cause some side effects such as stinging, burning sensation, itching, irritation, dryness, or redness at the site of application. These side effects are usually mild and may subside by themselves. However, consult your doctor if they persist or worsen. Avoid using this medicine if you are allergic to it. Desowen Cream is meant for external use only. Use this medicine as prescribed by your doctor. Avoid contact with the eyes, nose, mouth, and open wounds. Wash thoroughly with water in case of accidental contact. Do not apply more than the prescribed quantity of this medicine. Desowen Cream may not be suitable for everyone. Inform your doctor if you have glaucoma (an eye condition with abnormally high pressure inside the eye that may eventually lead to blindness) or active viral, bacterial, or fungal infections before starting the treatment with this medicine.
