Description
Dermiford Cream is a combination of Clobetasol, Gentamicin, Tolnaftate, Cliquinol and Ketaconazole. It is a topical medicine (to be applied externally), that helps to treat skin infections caused by bacteria and fungi. This cream works by killing bacteria and fungi, thereby reducing skin infections. Dermiford Cream may cause side effects like burning, irritation, itching, and redness at the site of application. Inform your doctor if these side effects bother you or persist for a longer duration. However, this cream is banned for use in India due to its severe side effects. Avoid using this cream if you are allergic to it. Dermiford Cream is a prescription medicine and should be applied as directed by your doctor. Wash and dry the affected area before application. Apply a small amount of Dermiford Cream to the affected area 1-2 times a day. Do not touch or scratch the affected area as it may spread the infection. Dermiford Cream is for external use. Avoid contact with your eyes and mouth. Wash your eyes and mouth immediately in case of accidental contact. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your doctor before using this cream. It may take several weeks for this medicine to improve your condition. Hence, do not stop using it without consulting your doctor. Dermiford Cream is used in treating bacterial and fungal skin infections. Apply a thin layer of the cream to the affected area as instructed by the doctor. Dermiford Cream is an external preparation, therefore contact with the mouth, eyes, nose, ears should be avoided. In case of accidental contact, wash the parts with water thoroughly. Dermiford Cream may take several weeks to show its action. Finish the entire course of treatment even if your symptoms begin to clear up after a few days. Avoid scratching or pricking the affected area as it can worsen the infection. Ensure that unused medicine is disposed of properly.

How it works
Dermiford Cream is a combination of five medicines- Clobetasol, Gentamicin, Clioquinol (Iodochlorhydroxyquin), Ketoconazole, and Tolnaftate. Clobetasol works by inhibiting the production of chemicals that cause inflammation. Gentamicin works by preventing the formation of the bacterial cell wall. Tolnaftate shows its antifungal activity by inhibiting the growth of the fungal cell membrane. Clioquinol work by inhibiting the DNA synthesis of the bacterial cell membrane. Ketoconazole works by stopping the growth of fungi by disrupting the cell wall of the fungi.
