How it works
Dermavate MF Cream is a combination of Betamethasone, salicylic acid, lactic acid, and urea. Betamethasone works by blocking certain chemical substances and activating natural substances in the skin to reduce swelling, redness, and itching. Lactic acid is a keratolytic agent that breaks down keratin clumps, removes dead skin cells, and softens the skin. Salicylic acid works by softening and loosening the dry, scaly, or thickened skin. Thus, it causes shedding of the outer layer of your skin. Urea works by breaking down the keratin (a protein in the skin), and thereby softens the skin and provides relief from the symptoms.
