Lactic Acidosis

Kidney disease

This medicine should be used with extreme caution in patients with an impaired kidney function due to an increase in the risk of kidney injuries and serious adverse effects. Stress

Type I diabetes

How it works
Metformin decreases absorption of glucose from the intestines and increases the action of insulin in the body. Gliclazide works by increasing the release of insulin from the pancreas. Voglibose works by preventing the breakdown of large carbohydrates into glucose. The combination is thus better effective than monotherapy in lowering the blood glucose levels.
