Description
CTD M 12.5/50MG TABLET is a combination medicine used for the treatment of a mild to moderate increase in the blood pressure. Frequent monitoring of blood pressure and electrolytes levels is necessary during treatment with this medicine. Patients are advised to follow a strict exercise and diet regimen along with this medicine to get the best possible effect.

Volume and electrolyte disturbances

This medicine may alter the blood volume and electrolytes levels in some patients. This may cause dizziness, dry mouth, and acid-base imbalance. Renal impairment

This medicine should be used with caution in patients with a known history of renal diseases due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient's condition. Close monitoring of renal function is recommended for such patients. Driving or operating machines

Ischemic Heart Disease

Major surgery

Pheochromocytoma

This medicine should be administered with extreme caution in patients suffering from pheochromocytoma, a condition which results in an excess of a substance that controls heartbeat and blood pressure. Bronchospastic Disease

This medicine should be administered with caution in patients with a disease of the lung or the airways leading to the lungs such as pneumonia, asthma, or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. How it works
Metoprolol relaxes the blood vessels and reduces the heart rate, promoting a smooth flow of blood. Chlorthalidone increases the excretion of water and sodium from the kidneys. Their combination is thus effective in reducing the blood pressure.
