Description

Crina N 15 MG Tablet is a synthetic form of progestin and has a similar action to the female hormone, progesterone. It is used to treat menstrual disorders and abnormal vaginal bleeding in women caused due to hormonal imbalances. It is also used for birth control to prevent unwanted pregnancies.

General warnings

Fluid retention

Use of this medicine is known to cause mild to moderate amounts of fluid retention in the body. Hence, caution is advised while administering in patients with diseases like epilepsy, asthma, migraine, heart and blood vessel disorders, kidney impairment etc.

Depression

Use of this medicine is known to cause a varying amount of depression in different individuals. It should be carefully prescribed in patients having a history of depression. Use of this medicine should be discontinued if the depressive episode becomes more frequent and severe.

Vision abnormalities

Use of this medicine can cause blurring of vision and other effects on the eye like proptosis, diplopia etc. Patients should be carefully examined to confirm if they can safely use this medicine. Any side effects like blurred vision, excessive drying of eyes should be reported to the doctor.

Blood clotting disorder

Use of this medicine can cause the formation of a blood clot in the artery or a deep vein (thromboembolism) resulting in severe to fatal adverse effects. The use of this medicine should be stopped if any such condition is confirmed.

Diabetes

Use of this medicine can affect the blood glucose levels and hence caution is advised while treating a diabetic patient.

Irregular menstrual bleeding
