Coversyl Plus

Manufactured bySerdia Pharmaceuticals (India) Pvt. Ltd.
ContainsPerindopril (4 mg) + Indapamide (1.25 mg)
Description
Coversyl Plus is a combination of Perindopril and Indapamide. This medicine is used in the treatment of high blood pressure. It works by relaxing your blood vessels and increasing the water and sodium excretion from your body. Thus, it controls your blood pressure. Coversyl Plus also reduces the risk of heart attack or stroke (brain damage due to interrupted blood flow) by making it easier for your heart to pump blood throughout your body. Coversyl Plus shows common side effects like dizziness, back pain, cough, tiredness, weakness, decreased blood pressure, etc. These side effects are temporary and will go away with time. However, if you have persistent vomiting and/or diarrhoea, as well as excessive sweating, you should see a doctor. Coversyl Plus is recommended to be taken before a meal or as advised by your doctor. This medicine contains Indapamide (water pill) which causes frequent urination. Take this medicine in the morning or four hours before bedtime to avoid frequent urination at night. Coversyl Plus should be taken at the same time every day to avoid any missed dose. Even if you feel better or your blood pressure appears to be under control, do not stop taking it. Abrupt discontinuation may lead to side effects or a sudden increase in your blood pressure. This medicine is safe for long-term use. Coversyl Plus is only recommended if you are 18 years or above. Inform your doctor if you have a history of kidney, liver, and heart problems. Inform your doctor about any other medications you are taking, particularly those used to treat high blood pressure or heart problems. This medicine is not recommended if you are pregnant as it may cause harm to your unborn foetus, especially if taken during the second and third trimesters. To ensure that this medicine is working effectively, you should have your blood pressure, kidney function, and salt levels such as potassium tested on a regular basis.
