Description
Concor Plus Tablet is a combination medicine used for the treatment of a mild to moderate hypertension. Frequent monitoring of blood pressure and electrolytes levels is necessary during treatment with this medicine. Allergy

Heart block greater than first degree

Sinus Bradycardia

General warnings

Major surgery

This medicine should be used with extreme caution in patients undergoing a major surgery due to the increased risk of severe adverse effects. Close monitoring of heart function is recommended for such patients.

Lung Disease

This medicine should be used with caution in the patients with lung disease who do not respond to other antihypertensives. Start with the lowest possible dose and increase the dose based on the clinical condition.

Diabetes

This medicine should be used with caution in patients with diabetes. It may mask the hypoglycemic symptoms. Regular monitoring of blood glucose levels is necessary. An alternate medicine should be considered based on the clinical condition.

Sports

Athletes are advised not to indulge in certain sports while using this medicine. Archery, racing, shooting and other high-risk sports should be avoided. Sportspersons should refer to the list of medicines published by World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) which are not to be taken while participating in specific sports events.

Hyperthyroidism

This medicine should be administered with caution in patients with increased thyroid levels. Abrupt withdrawal of this medicine may lead to a life-threatening condition called thyroid-storm. Frequent monitoring of thyroid levels is necessary. An alternative treatment option should be considered in some cases based on the clinical condition.

Liver Disease

This medicine should be used with extreme caution in patients suffering from liver diseases due to an increase in the risk of serious adverse effects including coma. Close monitoring of liver function is advised while taking this medicine. Report any symptoms of confusion or jaundice to the doctor on priority. Volume and electrolyte depletion

How it works
Bisoprolol relaxes the blood vessels and reduces the heart rate, promoting a smooth flow of blood. Hydrochlorothiazide increases the excretion of water and sodium through the urine. Their combination is thus effective in reducing the blood pressure.
