Description
Clobeta-GM Cream is a combination medicine which may be used for the treatment of steroid responsive dermatoses associated with superficial bacterial and fungal infections of the skin. This medicine is not recommended for use if you are known allergic to it.

General warnings

Cushing's syndrome

This medicine may cause hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis suppression and Cushing's syndrome in patients receiving high doses for a prolonged period. Any symptoms of swelling of the face, increase in the blood glucose levels, etc. should be informed to the doctor on priority. Replacement with a suitable alternative may be necessary in some cases based on the clinical condition.

External use

This medicine is recommended for external use only. Avoid contact with the eyes, mucous membranes, or open wounds.

Other medicines

This medicine may interact with a large number of medications and may cause severe adverse effects. Hence, it is advised that you report the use of all your medicines including any herbs and supplements to the doctor before beginning therapy with this medicine.

Allergic reactions

This medicine has the potential of causing moderate to severe allergic reactions in the body. Any instance indicative of allergic reactions should be reported to the doctor in the first instance.

Liver and/or kidney impairment

If this medicine is applied over a large surface area for a prolonged period of time, there is a chance of systemic absorption. Apply a thin layer of the cream to the affected area as instructed by the doctor. Follow all the usage instructions mentioned on the label or the package insert. How it works
Clobetasol works by inhibiting the release of certain substances in the body that cause inflammation (swelling, redness, pain, etc). Miconazole stops the growth of fungi by disrupting certain vital processes in the cell. Neomycin kills the bacteria by blocking the production of certain proteins that are required for their growth. Zinc oxide works by soothing the skin, preventing skin irritation, and helping in the healing process. Borax penetrates deep into the skin and helps to reduce bacteria located on the skin.
