Description
Clingen Vaginal Suppository is a combination of Clindamycin and Clotrimazole. It is used to treat various vaginal infections associated with vaginal discharge. It works by inhibiting the growth of microorganisms responsible for the infection. Clingen Vaginal Suppository shows side effects such as burning sensation, irritation, or itching in the vagina. These side effects usually subside with time. However, consult your doctor for further assistance if they persist or worsen. Clingen Vaginal Suppository is for vaginal use only. Wash your hands before and after using the suppository. Use the medicine exactly as directed by your doctor. Complete the treatment with the medicine to avoid any chances of re-infection. Clingen Vaginal Suppository is not recommended if you are allergic to it. Use the medicine with caution if you have antibiotic-associated colitis (swelling of the large intestine due to a bacteria called Clostridium difficile), regional enteritis (swelling in the parts of the intestine), or ulcerative colitis (ulcers in the parts of the gastrointestinal tract). Clingen Vaginal Suppository should only be used in pregnancy or breastfeeding after consulting your doctor.

General warnings

Skin reactions

Clingen Vaginal Suppository may rarely cause severe skin reactions like toxic epidermal necrolysis (blistering and peeling of the skin and can lead to a life-threatening situation), drug reaction with eosinophilia and systemic symptoms (DRESS is a severe reaction characterised by widespread skin rash, fever, blood abnormalities, etc.), and Stevens-Johnson syndrome (a rare, serious disorder that causes damage to the skin and mucous membrane). Inform your doctor if you experience such symptoms.

Vaginal irritation

Clingen Vaginal Suppository may cause burning and irritation upon the insertion of the suppository. Consult your doctor if the symptoms do not improve and the irritation persists.

Resistance

Clingen Vaginal Suppository should be used for the prescribed duration even if the symptoms get better after a few doses. The infection may recur and the microorganism may get less sensitive to the medicine resulting in drug resistance if it is not used for the prescribed period.

Clingen Vaginal Suppository is intended for vaginal use only. Do not swallow the medicine.

Antibiotic-associated colitis

Clingen Vaginal Suppository should be used with caution if you have antibiotic-associated colitis (swelling of the large intestine due to a bacteria called Clostridium difficile). Follow all the instructions given by your doctor.
