Disease interactions
Mononucleosis is a viral infection that may result in a sore throat, fever, fatigue, rash, etc. Clavimox (500/125 mg) Tablet is not recommended if you have been infected with mononucleosis as you may develop a maculopapular skin rash (flat and small raised bumps on the skin) 5-10 days after starting treatment with this medicine. The rash resolves within days of discontinuing this medicine.
Clavimox (500/125 mg) Tablet should be used with caution if you have pre-existing kidney problems due to the increased risk of side effects. Periodic monitoring of your kidney function is recommended. You may require dose adjustments based on your clinical condition.
Clavimox (500/125 mg) Tablet can kill the helpful bacteria in your stomach or intestine and leads to diarrhoea. Therefore, use this medicine with extreme caution if you have colitis (swelling of inner lining of your colon).

Urine Sugar Test (Benedict's or Fehling's reagent)
Report the use of Clavimox (500/125 mg) Tablet prior to the test. This medicine may give a false-positive result for the presence of glucose/sugar in the urine. The urine sugar test should be performed with a different reagent in case you are receiving this medicine.
