Description

Citola 40 MG Tablet is an antidepressant which is used to control the symptoms of depression. Take this medicine at the same time regularly. Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly without informing your doctor as it may cause withdrawal symptoms.

Contraindications of Citola 40 MG Tablet

  • Allergy

    Not recommended in the patients allergic to Citola 40 MG Tablet or other antidepressants.

Dosage

  • Missed Dose

    Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it’s almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed dose.
  • Overdose

    Seek emergency medical treatment or contact the doctor if any symptoms of the overdose like dizziness, loss of consciousness appear.

  • Suicidal thoughts

    - Use with caution in the patients with major depressive disorder due to the increased risk of suicidal thoughts. Close monitoring of these symptoms is necessary. Inform the doctor if these symptoms worsen.
  • Abnormal bleeding

    - Use with caution in the patients who are on NSAIDs, aspirin, warfarin due to the increase in the risk of bleeding. Inform the doctor if experience any unusual bleeding. Close monitoring of blood count and prothrombin time is necessary.
  • Weight loss

    - This medicine is known to alter body weight. Close monitoring of body weight is necessary. Inform the doctor if you experience any symptoms of weight loss.
  • Discontinuation of treatment

    - Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly as it may cause withdrawal symptoms like nausea, headache, anxiety, dizziness, and irritability. Gradual dose reduction should be made under the doctor's supervision.
  • Impaired kidney function

    - Use with caution in the patients with severe kidney injury due to increase in the risk of accumulation of Citola 40 MG Tablet. Dose adjustments are to be made based on the CrCl.
  • Pediatric use

    - This medicine is not recommended for the children less than 18 years.
