Interaction with Medicine
Disease interactions
Asthma is a condition that causes difficulty in breathing due to the narrowing of the airway and an increase in mucous secretion. Chymomerg D Tablet is not recommended for use if you have a history of NSAID-sensitive asthma (Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug-sensitive asthma) due to the increased risk of worsening your health condition.
Chymomerg D Tablet should be used with caution if you have kidney problems. The damaged kidney may lead to an accumulation of the medicine and increase the risk of undesired effects. Your doctor may suggest tests to monitor your kidney functions during treatment with this medicine.
Long-term use of Chymomerg D Tablet may increase the risk of a heart attack, especially if you have any pre-existing heart conditions. Your doctor will periodically suggest tests to ensure the regular functioning of your heart.
Chymomerg D Tablet should be used with caution if you have liver problems due to the increased risk of severe side effects. Your doctor may suggest tests to closely monitor your liver functions while you are taking this medicine.
Gastro-Intestinal toxicity
Long term use of Chymomerg D Tablet can cause damage to the stomach and intestine. Serious conditions like bleeding, ulceration (sores that occur in the lining of the stomach and intestine), and perforation (holes that develop in the walls of the stomach and intestine) can occur. This risk is especially higher if you have a history of stomach and intestinal problems. Any symptom like indigestion, the appearance of coffee-coloured dry blood in stools, or vomiting of blood should be reported to your doctor immediately.
