General warnings

Skin reactions

This medicine may cause few severe skin reactions like toxic epidermal necrolysis, drug reaction with eosinophilia and systemic symptoms (DRESS), and Stevens-Johnson syndrome (SJS), some with fatal outcome. Discontinue the medicine if these symptoms appear.

Vaginal irritation

This medicine may cause burning and irritation upon the insertion of the suppository. Consult your doctor if the symptoms do not improve and the irritation persists.

Resistance

This medicine should be used for the full prescribed course even when the symptoms get better. The infection may recur and the fungi may get less sensitive to the medicine resulting in drug resistance if it is not used for the full prescribed course.

Missed Dose

Administer the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed dose.
