Camostat

Description

Camostat is used to treat the remission of acute symptoms of chronic pancreatitis (inflammation of the pancreas) and postoperative reflux esophagitis, a condition where the stomach contents frequently back up into the esophagus. This medicine is not recommended for use in patients less than 18 years of age.

Shock

Use of this medicine may result in shock or anaphylactoid symptoms in some patients. Report to the doctor if you experience any unusual symptoms like decreased blood pressure, difficulties with breathing, itching, etc. on priority. Appropriate corrective measures, dose adjustments, or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required in some cases based on the clinical condition.

Thrombocytopenia
