Description
Calaptin 240 mg Tablet SR is used to treat high blood pressure and other heart complications. The medicine should be taken in conjunction with a proper diet and regular exercise. It is also used in managing chest pain.

Allergy

Sick sinus syndrome

This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with sick sinus syndrome except in the presence of a functioning ventricular pacemaker.

General warnings

Neuromuscular transmission diseases

This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with neuromuscular transmission diseases like myasthenia gravis or advanced Duchenne muscular dystrophy due to the increased risk of worsening of these conditions. Appropriate dose adjustments or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required based on the clinical condition.

Hypotension

Symptomatic hypotension may occur in patients with volume depletion, aortic stenosis, or patients who are treated with high-dose diuretics. Appropriate corrective measures, dose adjustments, or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required in some cases based on the clinical condition.

Driving or operating machinery

The use of this medicine may cause dizziness, fatigue, weakness, etc. in some patients. It is advised that you do not perform any activities such as driving a vehicle or operating machinery if you experience any of these symptoms.

Missed Dose

Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed one.
