Description
Brinolar 1 % Eye Drops is a topical preparation used in the treatment of ocular hypertension and glaucoma. These are conditions characterised by increased intra-ocular pressure (increased fluid pressure within your eyeballs) due to an imbalance in the production and drainage of the fluid in your eyes. It works by reducing the production of fluid in your eyes and lowering eye pressure. Brinolar 1 % Eye Drops shows some common side effects like blurred vision, dry eyes, and burning sensations in the eyes. Consult your doctor if these side effects bother you for a long time or become worse. Avoid driving vehicles or operating machines immediately after instilling this medicine, as your vision might be a little blurry. Brinolar 1 % Eye Drops is for external use only. Instill Brinolar 1 % Eye Drops as instructed by your doctor. Tilt your head back slightly and pull down your lower eyelid to squeeze the eye drop from the dropper. Complete the whole treatment to see maximum benefits. Brinolar 1 % Eye Drops is not recommended if you are allergic to this medicine. Inform your doctor if you are taking any other medicines as they might interact with Brinolar 1 % Eye Drops. Hematologic toxicity

Bone marrow suppression is a condition in which there is decreased production of blood cells in your bone marrow (a spongy substance present at the centre of your bones). Brinolar 1 % Eye Drops should be used with caution if you have a history of blood cell disorders or bone marrow suppression due to the increased risk of worsening your condition.

Porphyria

Porphyria is a condition that occurs due to the build-up of a chemical called porphyrin in your body. It affects the production of heme which transports oxygen in your blood. It can cause nerve or skin problems. Brinolar 1 % Eye Drops should be used with extreme caution if you have porphyria, as this medicine can trigger or aggravate your condition.

Kidney Disease

Brinolar 1 % Eye Drops should be used with caution if you have kidney problems as a diseased kidney will not be able to filter the medicine properly. This can increase the risk of toxicity.

Instill Brinolar 1 % Eye Drops as instructed by your doctor. Tilt your head back slightly and pull down your lower eyelid to squeeze the eye drop from the dropper. Remember to use it at the same time each day. This medicine is for external use only. Avoid contact with the mouth, nose, or open wounds. Rinse immediately with water if it comes in contact with these areas. Wash your hands before you apply the eye drop. To avoid contamination, you should not touch the dropper tip or let it touch your eye or any other surface. If you are using any other eye medication, wait for five minutes after instilling Brinolar 1 % Eye Drops. Consult with your doctor if your symptoms do not improve within a few weeks of use.
