Brexpiprazole
Description
Brexpiprazole is an antipsychotic that is used for the treatment of schizophrenia (a brain disorder characterized by delusions, hallucinations, reduced speaking, etc.). This medicine can only control the symptoms but cannot cure the disease. It is also used to control the symptoms of depression (a brain disorder characterized by feeling sad, irritable, and devoid of energy) along with antidepressants.

Weight gain

Any condition leading to a decrease in blood pressure should be given consideration while deciding the dose.
Driving or operating machinery
This medicine may cause drowsiness or dizziness in some patients. It is advised that you do not perform any activities that require high mental alertness like driving a vehicle or operating machinery if you experience any of these symptoms.
Liver impairment
This medicine should be used with extreme caution in patients suffering from liver impairment due to the increased risk of severe adverse effects. Close monitoring of liver function is necessary while receiving this medicine. Appropriate dose adjustments or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required in some cases based on the clinical condition.
Kidney impairment
This medicine should be used with caution in patients suffering from kidney impairment due to the increased risk of adverse effects. Dementia
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with dementia-related psychosis due to the increased risk of heart failure, pneumonia, death, etc. This risk is especially high in elderly patients. Replacement with a suitable alternative should be considered under your doctor's supervision.
Neuroleptic Malignant Syndrome (NMS)
This medicine should be used with extreme caution in patients with a known history of a neuroleptic malignant syndrome (NMS) due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient's condition. Close monitoring of the clinical condition, appropriate dose adjustments, or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required based on the clinical condition.
Seizure disorders
This medicine should be used with caution in patients with seizure disorders or central nervous system abnormalities due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient's condition. Diabetes Mellitus
This medicine should be used with caution in patients with diabetes mellitus because it may alter the blood glucose levels in such patients. Hypotension
