Description
Bral Tablet is used to relieve muscle cramps during periods. It also provides relief from pain due to muscle spasms in the body. Bral Tablet is effective in relieving a sharp, localized pain called colicky pain in the intestines, gall bladder, and urinary tract (such as in the kidneys or ureter). Side effects of Bral Tablet are dizziness, sleepiness, stomach upset, dry mouth, blurred vision, nausea and vomiting. Inform your doctor if you are allergic to this medicine. Maintain caution while using Bral Tablet in individuals with kidney and liver problems. Take Bral Tablet with food to avoid stomach irritation. For the ease of remembering, take it at around the same time every day. Do not stop using this medicine until the doctor tells you.

Allergy

Avoid taking Bral Tablet if you are previously allergic to it. Seek immediate medical attention if you notice any symptoms of serious allergic reactions such as skin rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, breathing difficulties, etc.

Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery (CABG)

Do not use Bral Tablet for relieving pain after heart surgery.

Gastrointestinal bleeding

Bral Tablet may cause stomach and intestinal bleeding and ulcers. Therefore it is not recommended for use in patients with gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation disorders since it may worsen the condition.

Pregnancy

Bral Tablet is not recommended for use during pregnancy due to the risk of harmful effects on your baby. But in some cases, your doctor may prescribe this medicine if the benefits outweigh the risks. All the risks and benefits should be discussed with your doctor before using the medicine.

General warnings

Increase in the blood pressure

Bral Tablet may cause high blood pressure and hence should be used with caution in patients with hypertension. Close monitoring of blood pressure is necessary while receiving this medicine.

Use in children

Bral Tablet is not recommended in children unless directed by a doctor.

Driving or operating machinery

Bral Tablet may cause sleepiness, blurred vision or dizziness in some patients. Hence it is advised not to drive vehicles and operate heavy machinery after taking this medicine.

Skin allergies

Bral Tablet may cause serious skin allergies without any warnings. These events may be fatal in rare cases. Signs and symptoms like rashes, hives, fever, or other allergic symptoms should be reported to the doctor immediately. The treatment should be discontinued if these symptoms appear.

Kidney disease

Bral Tablet may cause kidney problems, such as painful urination and protein or blood in the urine. Hence this medicine should be used cautiously in kidney impaired patients. Close monitoring of kidney function is necessary while receiving this medicine.

Missed Dose

Take the missed dose of Bral Tablet as soon as possible. If it is almost the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed dose.

Overdose

Reach the nearest emergency medical department immediately or contact the doctor in case of Bral Tablet overdose.

Gastrointestinal Disorders

Long term use of Bral Tablet can cause damage to the stomach and intestine. Serious conditions like bleeding, ulceration, and perforation of the stomach or intestinal wall can occur. Any symptom indicating ulceration and bleeding like chronic indigestion, the appearance of coffee coloured dry blood in stools or vomiting of blood should be reported immediately.

Heart Disease

Long-term use of Bral Tablet may increase the risk of a heart attack in patients with pre-existing heart conditions or heart failure. It is not used for treating pain after coronary bypass surgery.

How it works
