Warnings for special population
This medicine is not recommended for use in pregnant women. Appropriate precautionary measures should be adopted if your partner is taking this medicine. Contact your doctor immediately if a pregnancy is suspected while your partner is using this medicine.
This medicine is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women.
Consumption of Bioglandin 500 MCG Injection can cause a mild and short-lasting decrease in blood pressure. Caution should be exercised if you are taking any medication for lowering high blood pressure.
Bioglandin 500 MCG Injection should be used with caution if you are taking medicines for hypertension, heart disease etc. Report the use of all medicines including herbs and supplements to the doctor.
Prolonged and painful erection
Bioglandin 500 MCG Injection should be used with caution if you have had a painful erection lasting for more than 4 hours. This may be due to an underlying condition like Sickle cell anemia, Multiple Myeloma or Leukemia.
Bioglandin 500 MCG Injection should be used with caution in patients with bleeding disorders. Suitable dose adjustment and safety monitoring are advised if the patient is taking medicines to manage the disorder.
This medicine should be used with caution in patients with a disease of the heart and blood vessels. Suitable diagnostic tests and dose adjustments are advised to ensure safe and effective use of this medicine in such cases.
Form specific side effects
The side effects caused might vary depending on the form and route of administration of this medicine. Patients should be educated about the proper use and route specific side effects before starting the therapy with this medicine.
Deformation of penis
Bioglandin 500 MCG Injection should be used with caution in patients having a physical deformity of the penis which may be due to Angulation, Cavernosal Fibrosis or Peyronie disease. The risk of permanent loss of sexual potency is high in such cases.
Appropriate use of contraception
It is recommended to use a barrier method of contraception (condoms) while having an intercourse to prevent unwanted pregnancy or while having an intercourse with a woman who may be pregnant.
Bioglandin 500 MCG Injection may cause drowsiness, fainting, and a sudden fall in blood pressure in some patients. You should refrain from driving or operating heavy machinery after taking this medicine at least in the initial stages of treatment with this medicine.
Injection site bleeding and irritation
Use of this medicine may cause a small amount of bleeding at the injections increasing the risk of blood-borne infections. Inform the doctor if your partner has any infections that can be transmitted through blood (HIV, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C etc.)
Use in women
This medicine is not recommended for use in women.
