Description
Biogesic-P Tablet is a combination medicine that consists of Nimesulide and Paracetamol. It is used in the treatment of pain and fever. It is also used to provide relief from headaches, toothaches, sprains, and strains. It works by blocking pain signals to the brain and preventing the release of prostaglandins (chemical substances in the body that cause pain, swelling, and fever). Biogesic-P Tablet causes some side effects like nausea, vomiting, heartburn, stomach pain, loss of appetite, and diarrhoea. Avoid doing activities like driving vehicles and operating machines after taking this medicine as it can make you dizzy. Do not use this medicine if you are allergic to it. Biogesic-P Tablet is not recommended for use in children below 12 years of age. Biogesic-P Tablet should be taken with food to avoid stomach irritation. For the ease of remembering, take it at around the same time every day. Biogesic-P Tablet relieves pain and swelling due to arthritic conditions but does not cure it. Do not consume alcohol while using this medicine as it may worsen drowsiness. Biogesic-P Tablet should not be used for a long time due to the risk of severe liver damage. Maintain caution while taking this medicine if you have kidney problems. Consult your doctor before using this medicine if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or are breastfeeding.

How it works
Paracetamol increases the pain threshold and decreases swelling. It also brings down elevated body temperature by acting on heat regulatory centres in the brain. Nimesulide blocks the action of certain natural substances that are responsible for causing pain and inflammation.
