Bevacizumab is an anticancer medicine that is used alone or in combination with other medicines for the treatment of various types of cancers such as colorectal cancer, glioblastoma multiforme, renal cell carcinoma, cervical cancer, ovarian cancer, etc.

General warnings

Fistula formation

This medicine should be used with caution since it may cause a formation of fatal fistula involving the tracheoesophageal, bronchopleural, biliary, vaginal, renal, or bladder sites. Therapy with the medicine should be discontinued if fistula formation involving an internal organ is observed.

Driving and Operating machinery

This medicine may cause symptoms such as dizziness, fainting, loss of balance, etc. in some patients. It is advised that you do not perform any activities such as driving a vehicle or operating machinery if you experience any of these symptoms during treatment with this medicine.

Bleeding

This medicine may cause severe bleeding and gastrointestinal perforations in some patients. Therapy may need to be discontinued in these patients based on the clinical condition.

Cardiovascular diseases

This medicine should be used with caution in patients with pre-existing cardiovascular diseases due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient's condition. Close monitoring of heart function and vital signs, appropriate dose adjustments, or replacement with a suitable alternative may be necessary based on the clinical condition of the patient.

Use in Children

This medicine is not recommended for use in patients below 18 years of age since the safety and efficacy of use are not clinically established.
