Description
Bestogesic Plus Suspension is a combination medicine that consists of Mefenamic acid and Paracetamol. It is used to reduce fever, swelling and pain in children above 6 months of age. It decreases the intensity of pain signals to the brain and also prevents the release of substances called prostaglandins, that increase pain and body temperature. Bestogesic Plus Suspension rarely causes side effects. If you give an overdose of this medicine to your child, side effects like diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting and sweating may be seen. These side effects are temporary and resolve with time. Consult your doctor if the symptoms become severe. Bestogesic Plus Suspension should be used as prescribed by your doctor. Shake the bottle well before using and avoid giving additional doses for quick relief. It should be given after food as this reduces the likelihood of stomach pain. If your child vomits within 30 minutes of taking this medication, you may repeat the dose. Bestogesic Plus Suspension may not be suitable for all children. Inform your doctor if your child has any medical conditions of the heart, kidney, liver or bleeding troubles. This will help your doctor in adjusting the dose and planning the overall treatment.
