Description

Benitec 10 MG Tablet is used in the treatment of high blood pressure and other heart complications. Along with taking this medicine, you should follow a proper diet and exercise regularly. Do not take if you have a known allergy to this medicine.

Breast-feeding

This medicine is not recommended for breastfeeding women.
General warnings

Hypotension

Symptomatic hypotension may occur patients suffering from volume depletion or those who treated with high dose diuretics. Correct the condition before starting this medicine or start the treatment at reduced doses.

Hyperkalemia

Benitec 10 MG Tablet may cause hyperkalemia, a condition with an increase in the potassium levels in the blood. Use with caution in patients with concomitant use of potassium-sparing diuretics or potassium supplements and in patients with impaired kidney function.

Impaired liver function

Use with caution in patients with mild to moderate liver injury. An initial dose of 10 mg once daily is recommended and should not exceed 20 mg/day.

Pediatric population

The safety and efficacy of Benitec 10 MG Tablet has not been established in children age below 18 years.

Missed Dose

The missed dose should be taken as soon possible. It is advisable to skip the missed dose if it's already time for your next scheduled dose.

Overdose

Seek emergency medical treatment or contact the doctor in case of overdose.

Interaction with Alcohol

Description

Use of Benitec 10 MG Tablet with alcohol will have an additive effect in lowering the blood pressure.

Congestive heart failure

Benitec 10 MG Tablet is used with caution in patients with congestive heart failure, especially if the patient is suffering from volume or sodium depletion. Transient hypotension is also not a contraindication to further treatment with AR antagonists, since therapy can usually be reinstated without difficulty after blood pressure stabilizes.
