ContainsAlbendazole (200 mg/5 ml) + Ivermectin (1.5 mg/5 ml)
Description
Bandy Plus Suspension is a combination of Albendazole and Ivermectin. It is used in children for the treatment of various worm infections. This medicine works by paralysing the worms and also by stopping them from absorbing your body's glucose. This ultimately stops the growth of the worm, thus treating the infection. Bandy Plus Suspension shows side effects like nausea, vomiting, fever, headache, loss of appetite, stomach pain, etc. This medicine may also cause dizziness in some children. Most of these side effects are temporary and subside on their own. In rare cases, this medicine may cause bleeding. Consult your doctor if you see any unusual bleeding or if the side effects bother your child. Bandy Plus Suspension can be given to your child with milk for better absorption. Your doctor will decide the dose for your child based on the type of infection. Take the doses as prescribed to avoid re-infection. If your child vomits within 30 minutes of taking this medicine, then give him/her another dose. Do not give more than the prescribed amount of Bandy Plus Suspension as it could lead to side effects. Bandy Plus Suspension substitutes may be required if your child is allergic to the contents of this syrup. Inform your doctor if your child is taking any other medicines.
