Description
Astin D 20 Tablet is a combination of Atorvastatin and Cholecalciferol. It is used to lower the levels of bad cholesterol (LDL), fats (triglycerides) and increase the levels of good cholesterol (HDL) in your body. Thus, it prevents the risk of heart attack and stroke (damage to the brain due to interrupted blood flow). Astin D 20 Tablet works by blocking the enzyme responsible for the formation of bad cholesterol and fats in your body. Astin D 20 Tablet may cause some side effects like stomach pain, constipation, and muscle weakness. Usually, these side effects resolve with time. Let your doctor know if you notice yellowing of your skin, muscle pain or dark urine. Avoid taking this medicine if you are previously allergic to it. Astin D 20 Tablet should be taken with food to avoid any stomach discomfort. For the ease of remembering, take this medicine around the same time every day. You may have to take this medicine for a long time. Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor tells you to do so. Astin D 20 Tablet may interact with the action of other medicines. Inform your doctor about any other health issues you have or if you are undergoing any medical treatment before taking this medicine. Consult your doctor before taking this medicine if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding. You may be advised to monitor your liver function and blood sugar levels while taking Astin D 20 Tablet. Missed Dose

If you missed a dose of Astin D 20 Tablet, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next, skip the missed dose. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.

Overdose

Astin D 20 Tablet is a combination of Atorvastatin and Cholecalciferol. Atorvastatin reduces the level of cholesterol in your blood and helps in preventing the increase of LDL (low-density lipoproteins).
