Description
Aristogyl F Suspension is a medicine that consists of Furazolidone and Metronidazole. It is used in the treatment of diarrhoea (loose, watery stools that occur more frequently than usual) and dysentery (infection of the intestines resulting in severe diarrhoea with the presence of blood and mucus in the faeces). This medicine works by preventing the growth of microorganisms like bacteria and parasites that cause infection. Aristogyl F Suspension has some side effects like nausea, headache, dry mouth, stomach pain, dizziness, etc. Dehydration is a serious side effect and should be treated with an adequate intake of water and fluids. These side effects are mild and subside by themselves. Consult your doctor if they bother you. Avoid driving vehicles or operating machines after using this medicine as it may make you feel sleepy and drowsy. Do not use this medicine if you are allergic to it. Aristogyl F Suspension should be used as prescribed by your doctor. It should be taken with food to avoid stomach irritation. Take this medicine at the same time every day for the ease of remembering and for better results. Do not take more than the prescribed dose as it may lead to undesirable effects. Complete the whole treatment prescribed by your doctor even if you feel better after taking a few doses. Consult your doctor if your symptoms have not improved even after taking this medicine for a week. Aristogyl F Suspension is not recommended for use in infants below 1 month of age. Inform your doctor if you have liver, kidney, and any other health problems before taking this medicine. Also, inform your doctor about any ongoing medication.
