Description

Anti Rabies Serum is an equine-derived rabies antiserum which is used to protect against rabies infection. It is administered in individuals who are suspected of exposure to rabies after contact with a rabid animal or an animal thought to be rabid. It is administered along with the first dose of rabies vaccine.

Severe allergic reactions

Severe allergic reactions or hypersensitivity reactions, including anaphylactic shock, low blood pressure, breathing difficulties, urticaria (skin rash), etc. may occur with this medicine, specifically contraindicated in patients with a previous history of allergy to any horse proteins and/or immunoglobulins. If symptoms of allergic reactions occur, discontinue immediately and initiate appropriate treatment.
