General warnings

Hypotension

Use of this medicine may cause a fall in blood pressure levels. This risk is especially higher in patients with a history of cardiovascular diseases. Close monitoring of blood pressure is recommended for such patients. Appropriate dose adjustments or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required based on the clinical condition.

Driving and operating machinery

This medicine may cause symptoms such as dizziness, visual disturbances, fainting, weakness, etc. in some patients. It is advised that you do not perform any activities such as driving a vehicle or operating machinery if you experience any of these symptoms during or immediately after receiving this medicine.

Withdrawal symptoms

Abrupt discontinuation of this medicine may increase the risk of adverse effects. A gradual dose reduction is recommended to avoid these reactions. Do not stop the use of this medicine without consulting your doctor.

Nitrate free interval

The likelihood of development of drug tolerance is very high if this medicine is taken very regularly. A minimal amount of nitrate free time is required to avoid tolerance is 10-12 hr/day. The tolerance developed is in general for nitrates and may affect other medicines containing nitrates (cross-tolerance).

Pediatric use

This medicine is not recommended for use in patients less than 18 years of age since the safety and efficacy of use are not clinically established.

Missed Dose

Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. Skip the missed dose if it is almost time for the next scheduled dose.

Overdose

Contact your doctor immediately if an overdose with this medicine is suspected. Symptoms of an overdose may include a severe headache, fever, nausea, vomiting, difficulty in breathing, excessive sweating, etc.
