Description
Anafast (500/100 mg) Tablet is a combination of Paracetamol and Aceclofenac. It is used to relieve pain in conditions like headache, mild migraines, muscle pain, joint pain, tooth pain, menstrual pain, ankylosing spondylitis (pain due to fusing of bones in the spine), osteoarthritis (pain on movement due to wearing of the protective covering at the ends of the bones) and rheumatoid arthritis (body's immunity attacks the joints and damages it). Anafast (500/100 mg) Tablet shows some side effects like nausea, vomiting, heartburn, stomach pain, loss of appetite, and diarrhoea. It may cause dizziness and sleepiness. Do not drive vehicles or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. Do not use this medicine if you are allergic to it. Anafast (500/100 mg) Tablet can be taken with food, milk, or an antacid to avoid stomach irritation. For the ease of remembering, take it at around the same time every day. Anafast (500/100 mg) Tablet relieves pain and swelling due to arthritic conditions but does not cure it. Anafast (500/100 mg) Tablet has to be taken with caution if you have peptic ulcers or any medical conditions of your liver and kidney. Anafast (500/100 mg) Tablet may interact with alcohol, and you may see an increase in the side effects such as dizziness, drowsiness, and stomach bleeding. Anafast (500/100 mg) Tablet may impact or get affected by other medications. Inform your doctor about all your current medications. Do not take other medications that have Paracetamol in them without consulting your doctor. If you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or are breastfeeding, you should consult your doctor before taking this medication.

Allergy

Anaemia

Anafast (500/100 mg) Tablet should be used with caution if you have anaemia due to the increased risk of worsening of your condition. Appropriate dose adjustments or replacement with a suitable alternative may be necessary based on your clinical condition.

Bleeding disorders

Anafast (500/100 mg) Tablet may prolong the blood clotting time and therefore increase the risk of bleeding. Use it cautiously if there are bleeding or clotting defects such as haemophilia (a disorder in which blood does not clot normally), Vitamin K deficiency, and hypoprothrombinemia (deficiency of blood clotting substance Prothrombin).

Missed Dose

If you missed a dose of Anafast (500/100 mg) Tablet take it as soon as you remember. Do not add it with your next dose to make up for a missed dose.

Overdose

Never take more than the prescribed dose. If you suspect that you might have taken an overdose of Anafast (500/100 mg) Tablet, seek immediate medical guidance.

Asthma

You may experience asthma (constriction of airways in your lungs) while taking Anafast (500/100 mg) Tablet. Hence it is not recommended for use if you have asthma, especially when you experienced allergic reactions by using non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicines (pain killers).

Gastro-Intestinal toxicity

Long term use of Anafast (500/100 mg) Tablet can cause damage to your stomach and intestine. Conditions like bleeding, ulceration and perforation of your stomach or intestinal wall can occur. Any symptom indicating ulceration and bleeding like indigestion, the appearance of dry blood in stools or vomiting of blood should be reported to your doctor immediately.

Heart Disease

Prolonged use of Anafast (500/100 mg) Tablet is known to increase the risk of heart attack and stroke (reduced blood supply to your brain) in individuals with heart problems. Hence caution should be maintained.
