Description

Zocon 2 % Lotion is an anti-fungal medicine. It is used in the treatment of various fungal infections affecting your skin, lungs, mouth, throat, meninges (protective layer covering the brain and spinal cord), etc. It works by stopping the growth of fungi, thus preventing the spread of infections. Zocon 2 % Lotion can cause side effects like nausea, vomiting, headache, stomach discomfort, etc. Consult with your doctor if these side effects are persistent and/or getting worse. Avoid activities like driving vehicles or operating machines while taking this medicine as it can occasionally cause dizziness. Zocon 2 % Lotion oral forms can be taken with or without food. Zocon 2 % Lotion injections are administered by a qualified healthcare professional in a hospital or clinic. Apply Zocon 2 % Lotion topical forms like gel, lotion, and dusting powder over the infected area of your skin. Your doctor may advise a patch test (a procedure done to see if you are allergic to this medicine or not) before prescribing this medicine. Instill Zocon 2 % Lotion eye and eye/ear drops as instructed by your doctor. Do not stop taking/using this medicine without consulting your doctor as your symptoms could reappear. What is it prescribed for?

Oropharyngeal Candidiasis

Oropharyngeal candidiasis is a type of fungal infection that occurs in your mouth and throat. Zocon 2 % Lotion is used to treat oropharyngeal candidiasis.

Oesophageal Candidiasis

Oesophageal candidiasis is a fungal infection in your oesophagus (food pipe). It may cause dry mouth, swelling, difficulty in swallowing, etc. Zocon 2 % Lotion is used to treat Oesophageal candidiasis.

Cryptococcal Meningitis

Cryptococcal meningitis is a serious infection that affects your meninges (delicate membranes covering your brain and spinal cord). Zocon 2 % Lotion is used to treat Cryptococcal meningitis.

Vaginal Candidiasis

Vaginal candidiasis is a fungal infection that causes pain, itching, and burning sensation with unusual discharge from the vagina (female sex organ and birth canal). Zocon 2 % Lotion is used in the treatment of vaginal candidiasis.

Fungal Urinary Tract Infection

Fungal urinary tract infection is an infection in any part of your urinary system i.e. the kidneys, bladder, or urethra caused by Candida species. Zocon 2 % Lotion is used in the treatment of urinary tract infections caused by fungi.
