Description

Victoza 6 mg Injection is an antidiabetic medicine composed of Liraglutide. It is used to control high blood sugar levels due to type II Diabetes mellitus (non-insulin-dependent). Thus it may prevent further complications of diabetes such as blindness, kidney damage, stroke, and heart attack. It works by increasing the production of insulin (a hormone that enables your body to use sugar). Victoza 6 mg Injection show side effects like nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, taste change, and stomach pain. This medicine can cause vision impairment and/or make you feel dizzy. Therefore, avoid activities like driving vehicles and operating machines after receiving this medicine. Victoza 6 mg Injection is administered by a qualified healthcare professional in a hospital or clinic. You will be monitored closely for any signs of allergy like rashes, redness, breathing difficulty etc. Victoza 6 mg Injection is not recommended if are allergic to it. What is it prescribed for?

Diabetes Type 2

Diabetes mellitus is a condition characterized by excess blood sugar levels in your body. In type 2 diabetes, your body does not use insulin (a hormone that allows your body to use sugar for energy) properly to convert sugar to energy. Thus this may increase the level of unused sugar in the blood. Victoza 6 mg Injection is used in the treatment of Type 2 Diabetes.

Weight loss

Victoza 6 mg Injection is used in combination with a calorie-reduced diet and increased physical activity for weight management in obese patients who have at least one weight-related condition, i.e., hypertension (high blood pressure), type 2 diabetes, or dyslipidemia (having blood lipid levels that are too high or low).

Multiple endocrine neoplasia type 2 (MEN2) is a hereditary condition associated with a group of tumours. Victoza 6 mg Injection is not recommended if you have a history of multiple endocrine neoplasia type 2 as the safety and efficacy of this medicine have not been established in such cases.

Acute gallbladder disease

Victoza 6 mg Injection should be used with extreme caution if you have a history of gall bladder disorders, as this medicine may provoke or worsen your gall bladder condition. Your doctor can adjust your dose or suggest another medicine in such cases.

Hypoglycemia

Hypoglycemia is a condition characterized by a decrease in your blood glucose levels. If you are prone to having low blood glucose level episodes, take Victoza 6 mg Injection with caution.
