Ursodox 450 MG Tablet SR is a medicine used to dissolve gallstones that are composed mainly of undissolved cholesterol and also prevent gallstones in overweight people who are planning on losing weight rapidly. Ursodox 450 MG Tablet SR is also used in the treatment of primary biliary cirrhosis. It is a condition that impairs the liver's ability to function properly and causes a build-up of a fluid called bile within the liver. It may gradually worsen over time. This medicine works by decreasing the toxic levels of bile acid that may accumulate in such a condition. Ursodox 450 MG Tablet SR may cause side effects like upset stomach, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, headache, etc. These side effects usually resolve with time. However, consult your doctor if these symptoms persist or worsen. Avoid taking this medicine if you are allergic to it. Ursodox 450 MG Tablet SR should be taken after a meal with a glass of milk or water. Your doctor will decide the dose and duration of treatment based on your clinical condition. Ursodox 450 MG Tablet SR is used to dissolve gallstones which are formed by cholesterol deposits. It is also used to prevent gallstone formation in some cases.

Primary biliary cirrhosis

Primary biliary cirrhosis is a liver condition that causes a buildup of bile (a fluid formed by the liver that helps in digestion) within the liver, resulting in damage to the small bile ducts that drain bile from the liver. It may gradually worsen over time. Ursodox 450 MG Tablet SR is used in the treatment of primary biliary cirrhosis.

Take Ursodox 450 MG Tablet SR as instructed by your doctor. Do not break, chew, or crush the medicine in your mouth. Swallow as a whole with plenty of water. Follow all the instructions given on the prescription label or packing insert. Do not take Ursodox 450 MG Tablet SR in larger or smaller quantities than recommended.
