What is it prescribed for?

Diabetic retinopathy

This medicine is used in the treatment of Diabetic retinopathy, a complication of diabetes that may cause mild vision problems.

Hemorrhoids

This medicine is used in the treatment of Hemorrhoids (swollen veins in the rectum and anus which may cause discomfort and bleeding).

Chronic venous insufficiency

This medicine is used in the treatment of Chronic venous insufficiency, a condition where the valves in the leg veins are not working effectively, causing blood to collect in these veins.

Microcirculation disorders

This medicine is used in the treatment of Microcirculation disorders, conditions characterized by the ineffective functioning of capillaries, arterioles, venules, etc.

Renal impairment

Smuth 600 mg Capsule should be used with caution in patients with a history of kidney disease and active kidney disease due to the increased risk of severe adverse effects. Report any unusual symptoms to the doctor immediately. Appropriate dose adjustments or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required based on the clinical condition.

Blood cell count

This medicine may lower the white blood cell count. Close monitoring of blood cell counts is necessary during treatment with this medicine. Do not start the treatment if the white blood cell count is low. Appropriate dose adjustments or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required based on the clinical condition.

Missed Dose

If a dose of Smuth 600 mg Capsule is missed, take/apply the dose as soon as you remember it. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and take/apply the next dose. Do not double the dose to make up for the missed one.

How it works

This medicine protects the capillaries by reducing their fragility. This helps in reducing the symptoms of chronic venous insufficiency. It also reduces symptoms of diabetic retinopathy by inhibiting the formation of sorbitol and improving blood circulation in the eyes.
