Description

Scapho Injection is an interleukin inhibitor used for the treatment of moderate to severe plaque psoriasis (a skin disease characterized by red, scaly patches on some areas of the body) in adults patients, where the systemic therapy is appropriate. It is also used to treat active psoriatic arthritis and active ankylosing spondylitis in adults. This medicine is not recommended for use in patients below 18 years of age.

What is it prescribed for?

Ankylosing Spondylitis

This medicine is used in the treatment of ankylosing spondylitis, a condition characterized by reduced flexibility of the spine, severe pain in the back and joints, etc.

Psoriatic Arthritis

This medicine is used to relieve signs and symptoms such as pain, swelling, scales on the skin, etc. associated with psoriatic arthritis in adults. It also reduces structural damages and improves physical functions in adults with psoriatic arthritis.

Plaque Psoriasis

This medicine is used for the treatment of moderate to severe chronic plaque psoriasis when systemic therapy or phototherapy can be used and the use of other medicines is inappropriate or less appropriate.

Serious infections

Use of vaccines

Administration of live or live attenuated vaccines is not recommended during treatment with this medicine due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient's condition. Your doctor may advise you to postpone vaccination or may use an appropriate form of vaccination with adequate clinical monitoring to minimize the risk of adverse effects.

Use in Children

This medicine is not recommended for use in patients less than 18 years of age since the safety and efficacy of use are not clinically established.

Tuberculosis
