Description

Redotil 30 MG Sachet is an antidiarrhoeal medicine. It is used for the treatment of acute diarrhoea (loose and watery stools) in infants (older than three months) and in children. It works by reducing the secretion of salts and water from the intestine. Thus, it helps in controlling diarrhoea. Redotil 30 MG Sachet can cause side effects like skin rash, headache, etc. Consult your doctor if these side effects persist or become worse. Avoid giving this medicine to your child if he/she is allergic to it. Redotil 30 MG Sachet may be given with or without food. The dose and duration of the treatment will be decided by your child's doctor based on the severity of the condition. Give this medicine to your child at the same time every day to maintain a constant level in your child's body. Do not stop giving this medicine without consulting your doctor as your child's condition may become worse. Redotil 30 MG Sachet may not be suitable for everyone. Inform your doctor about your child's current medications and pre-existing medical conditions. This may help your child's doctor to adjust the dose and avoid side effects.

Severe diarrhoea

Redotil 30 MG Sachet is not effective if your child has severe diarrhoea and/or antibiotic-associated diarrhoea (loose and watery stools caused due to the use of antibiotics).

Use in children

Redotil 30 MG Sachet is not recommended in infants less than three months as the safety and efficacy data are not clinically established

Kidney impairment

Due to the lack of safety data, Redotil 30 MG Sachet is not recommended for use if your child has kidney problems.

Liver impairment

Due to the lack of safety data, Redotil 30 MG Sachet is not recommended for use if your child has liver problems.

Severe vomiting

Redotil 30 MG Sachet may not get absorbed completely into the blood if your child has severe vomiting, thus making this medicine less effective. Therefore, consult your doctor before giving this medicine to your child if he/she has severe vomiting.

Skin reactions

Redotil 30 MG Sachet may cause mild to moderate skin reactions in some cases. The treatment should be discontinued if any symptoms of skin rash like redness and blisters appear.

Give Redotil 30 MG Sachet to your child as instructed by the doctor. Add a sufficient amount of water and stir well before giving this medicine to your child. Do not give Redotil 30 MG Sachet in larger or smaller amounts than prescribed. Give this medicine for the recommended duration. Do not discontinue this medication abruptly without consulting the doctor, as your child's condition may become worse. Give sufficient liquid and follow usual dietary measures to control diarrhoea along with this medicine. Keep Redotil 30 MG Sachet away from the reach of children and pets. Ensure that the unused or expired medicine is disposed of properly. Redotil 30 MG Sachet can cause skin rashes in some cases. Consult the doctor if you notice any symptoms of skin rash like itching, redness, blisters, etc.
