Description
Razel-EZ Tablet is a combination of Rosuvastatin and Ezetimibe. It is used in the treatment of high blood cholesterol and triglycerides (fats) levels. Razel-EZ Tablet works by blocking the formation of bad cholesterol and fats in your body and preventing the absorption of cholesterol through your small intestine.
Razel-EZ Tablet may cause side effects like headache, nausea, vomiting, constipation, and stomach pain. Consult your doctor if these side effects persist or worsen. Avoid taking this medicine if you are allergic to it.
Razel-EZ Tablet may be taken with or without food in the dose and duration prescribed by your doctor. Do not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor, as it may worsen your condition. Try not to skip the scheduled dose of Razel-EZ Tablet and avoid an overdose of this medicine.
Razel-EZ Tablet is not recommended for use in children below six years of age. Inform your doctor if you are taking any other medicines or have other medical conditions before starting the treatment. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or are breastfeeding.

What is it prescribed for?
Hyperlipidaemia
Hyperlipidaemia refers to a high level of bad cholesterol and triglycerides (type of fats) in your blood. Razel-EZ Tablet is used in the treatment of hyperlipidaemia.
Prevention of Cardiovascular Disease
High cholesterol levels may accumulate in your blood vessels and narrow or block the blood vessels leading to an interrupted blood supply to your heart or brain. A heart attack occurs when the blood vessels of your heart get blocked due to clot formation or fat buildup. Also, a blockage in your blood vessels that carry blood to your brain may result in a stroke. Razel-EZ Tablet is used to reduce the incidence of a heart attack or stroke by reducing the cholesterol and fats levels in your blood.

Allergy

Cognitive impairment

Razel-EZ Tablet should be used with caution as it may cause cognitive impairment such as memory loss, forgetfulness, confusion, etc. However, these side effects are not serious and resolve after discontinuation of this medicine.
Use in children
Razel-EZ Tablet is not recommended for use in children less than six years of age as the safety and efficacy data are not clinically established.
Hypothyroidism
Hypothyroidism refers to a low level of thyroid hormone in your blood. Hypothyroidism may be associated with rhabdomyolysis (breakdown of muscle tissue). Hence, Razel-EZ Tablet should be used with caution if you have hypothyroidism as this medicine may further increase the risk of muscle damage.
Kidney problems
Razel-EZ Tablet should be used with caution if you have kidney problems as it may worsen your condition. Your doctor may suggest tests to regularly monitor your kidney function while you are taking this medicine.
Missed Dose
If you forget to take a dose of Razel-EZ Tablet, take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is time for your next scheduled dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed one.
Overdose
Never take more than the prescribed dose of Razel-EZ Tablet. Seek emergency medical treatment in case of an overdose.
