Provanol Plus 10 Tablet is a combination medicine which may be used for the prevention of migraine attacks. This medicine is not recommended for use in patients below 18 years of age.

What is it prescribed for?
Prevention of migraine attacks
This medicine may be used to prevent migraine headaches with or without aura. It should not be used to treat a headache that has already set in.

Depression
Use of this medicine may cause lack of interest, low mood, sleep disturbances in some patients. It should be administered with caution in patients with an active/past instance of depression.

Use of this medicine may cause drowsiness and sleepiness in some patients. It is advised that you do not perform any activities such as driving a vehicle or operating machinery if you experience any of these symptoms during treatment with this medicine.
Impaired kidney/liver function
This medicine should be used with caution in individuals with impaired kidney/liver function due to the increased risk of adverse effects. Close monitoring of liver/kidney function tests is necessary while taking this medicine. Appropriate dose adjustments or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required based on the clinical condition.
Glaucoma
This medicine should be used with caution in patients having glaucoma due to the increased risk of adverse effects. Report any instance of disturbance in vision, pain or dryness of eyes to the doctor immediately. Heart failure
Use of this medicine should be done with caution due to the increased risk of heart failure, especially in people having a heart disease. You may require a dose adjustment and more frequent clinical monitoring to safely use this medicine. Elderly
This medicine should be used with extreme caution in individuals who are 60 years old and above due to the increased risk of sedation and muscle weakness.
Thyrotoxicosis
This medicine should be administered with caution in patients having elevated thyroid hormone level. Some adverse effects may not be evident in these cases. Hence doctor's intervention is a must before taking this medicine.
Sports
Athletes are advised to not indulge in certain sports while using this medicine. Archery, racing, shooting and other high-risk sports should be avoided. Sportspersons should refer to the list of medicines published by World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) which are not to be taken while participating in specific sports events.

This medicine is not recommended for use in patients below 18 years of age since the safety and efficacy of use are not clinically established.
Missed Dose
