Description

Propyzole NF Cream is a combination medicine used for the treatment of steroid responsive fungal infections including eczema, psoriasis, etc. This medicine is not recommended for use in patients less than 12 years of age.

General warnings

Chronic application

Chronic application of this medicine is not recommended since it may affect the growth and development of children.

Cushing's syndrome

This medicine may cause hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis suppression and Cushing's syndrome in patients receiving high doses for a prolonged period. Any symptoms of swelling of the face, increase in the blood glucose levels, etc. should be informed to the doctor on priority. Replacement with a suitable alternative may be necessary in some cases based on the clinical condition.

Infections

This medicine may increase the risk of infections. Appropriate antibiotic treatment may be necessary in some cases to prevent the spread of infection.

Use only in confirmed infection

This medicine should not be used until the infection is diagnosed by a doctor. Other diseases may also show similar symptoms.

Resistance

This medicine should be used for the complete prescribed course even when the symptoms get better. The infection may recur and the fungi may get less sensitive to the medicine, resulting in drug resistance, if it is not used for the complete prescribed course.

External use

This medicine is only recommended for external use. Avoid contact with the mouth, eyes, mucous membranes, cuts, grazes, or wounds.

Use in children

This medicine is not recommended for use in patients less than 12 years of age since the safety and efficacy of use are not clinically established.

Apply the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not apply a double dose to make up for the missed dose.

Apply a thin layer of the cream to the affected area as instructed by the doctor. Follow all the usage instructions mentioned on the label or the package insert. How it works
