Description

Omcan 150 MG Tablet is an anti-fungal medicine. It is used in the treatment of various fungal infections affecting your skin, lungs, mouth, throat, meninges (protective layer covering the brain and spinal cord), etc. It works by stopping the growth of fungi, thus preventing the spread of infections. Omcan 150 MG Tablet can cause side effects like nausea, vomiting, headache, stomach discomfort, etc. Consult with your doctor if these side effects are persistent and/or getting worse. Avoid activities like driving vehicles or operating machines while taking this medicine as it can occasionally cause dizziness. Omcan 150 MG Tablet can be taken with or without food. Continue to take this medicine for the prescribed duration even if you feel better after a few doses as it may increase the risk of re-infection. Omcan 150 MG Tablet is not recommended for use if you are allergic to it. Inform your doctor if you have liver or kidney problems, or any other medical conditions. Report all your current medicines to your doctor before starting the treatment as they can interact with Omcan 150 MG Tablet and cause side effects. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or are breastfeeding before taking this medicine.

What is it prescribed for?

Oropharyngeal Candidiasis

Oropharyngeal candidiasis is a type of fungal infection that occurs in your mouth and throat. Omcan 150 MG Tablet is used to treat oropharyngeal candidiasis.

Oesophageal Candidiasis

Oesophageal candidiasis is a fungal infection in your oesophagus (food pipe). It may cause dry mouth, swelling, difficulty in swallowing, etc. Omcan 150 MG Tablet is used to treat Oesophageal candidiasis.

Cryptococcal Meningitis

Cryptococcal meningitis is a serious infection that affects your meninges (delicate membranes covering your brain and spinal cord). Omcan 150 MG Tablet is used to treat Cryptococcal meningitis.

Vaginal Candidiasis

Vaginal candidiasis is a fungal infection that causes pain, itching, and burning sensation with unusual discharge from the vagina (female sex organ and birth canal). Omcan 150 MG Tablet is used in the treatment of vaginal candidiasis.

Fungal Urinary Tract Infection
