Description

Nazomac-M Nasal Spray is a medicine used to prevent and relieve symptoms of hay fever and other allergies such as sneezing, runny, stuffy, or itchy nose. It is also used to treat nasal polyps (painless growth or swelling in the nose or sinuses). Nazomac-M Nasal Spray works by blocking the release of certain chemical substances that cause allergy symptoms. Nazomac-M Nasal Spray may cause some side effects like headache, nose/throat irritation, blood in the mucous, unexplained nosebleed, etc. Inform your doctor if these side effects become severe or persist for a long time. Nazomac-M Nasal Spray is for external use only. The dose of this medicine and the duration of treatment will be determined by your doctor depending on your condition. Follow all the instructions mentioned on the label or packaging insert. Use this medicine regularly to get maximum benefits. Nazomac-M Nasal Spray is not recommended if you are allergic to it. What is it prescribed for?

Allergic Rhinitis

Allergic rhinitis is the swelling of the inside of the nose which is caused when your immune system reacts to infections or allergens (foreign particles such as dust, pollens, moulds, or flakes of skin from animals, etc.). This results in nasal discharge, sneezing, swelling in the nose, watery and red eyes, blocked or runny nose, etc. Nazomac-M Nasal Spray is used in the treatment and prevention of allergic rhinitis.

Nasal polyps

Nasal polyps are soft, painless overgrowths of the tissue on the inner lining of your nose or sinuses (hollow spaces located behind the forehead, nose, cheekbones, and in between the eyes). These are non-cancerous and do not spread to other organs. The polyps are caused as a result of chronic inflammation (swelling), allergy, asthma, etc. Nazomac-M Nasal Spray is used in the treatment of nasal polyps.

Nazomac-M Nasal Spray should be used with caution as it may occasionally cause or worsen hyperadrenocorticism if used for a prolonged time.

Prolonged use of a high dose of Nazomac-M Nasal Spray may suppress the activity of your immune system. Hence, this medicine should be used with caution as it may increase the risk of infections or worsen your condition if you have an infection.

Ocular Toxicities

Rarely, Nazomac-M Nasal Spray may increase the intraocular pressure (high pressure inside the eye caused by an imbalance in the production and drainage of fluid in the eye) and cause glaucoma (a condition where the pressure within the eyeballs is abnormally high that can damage the optic nerve and lead to loss of vision). Inform your doctor if you experience any vision problems.
