Description

Moxicip 400 MG Infusion is an antibiotic used for the treatment of bacterial infections that affect the skin, lungs, nose, stomach, and intestine. It works by blocking the action of an enzyme required for bacterial multiplication. This prevents further growth and kills the infection-causing bacteria. Moxicip 400 MG Infusion may cause some common side effects such as stomach pain, diarrhoea, nausea/vomiting, headache, dizziness, etc. It may also cause pain/redness at the injection site. These symptoms usually subside on their own. However, inform your doctor if these symptoms become severe. Moxicip 400 MG Infusion is administered by a qualified healthcare professional in a clinical or hospital setting. Your doctor will decide the dose and duration of the treatment based on your condition. Hence, follow the instructions given by your doctor. This medication is effective only for the treatment of infections caused by bacteria and not viruses. Moxicip 400 MG Infusion is not recommended if you are allergic to it. Community-Acquired Pneumonia

Community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) refers to pneumonia (lung infection) that is acquired outside the hospital. Moxicip 400 MG Infusion is used to treat CAP caused by bacteria like Mycoplasma pneumonia, Streptococcus pneumonia, Haemophilus influenzae, etc.

Skin and soft tissue infections

Skin and soft tissue infection is bacterial infection affecting the skin and its supporting structures. Moxicip 400 MG Infusion is used to treat skin and soft tissue infections caused by bacteria.

Stomach and intestinal infections

Moxicip 400 MG Infusion is used to treat infections in your stomach and intestine caused by bacteria.

Bronchitis

Bronchitis is the swelling of the bronchial tubes that carries air to and from the lungs. Common symptoms include cough and shortness of breath. Moxicip 400 MG Infusion is used in the treatment of bronchitis caused by bacteria.

QT prolongation is a condition in which your heart muscles takes a longer time to recharge between a heart beat.Moxicip 400 MG Infusion can cause QT prolongation, hence it is not recommended if you have heart conditions such as heart failure (condition in which heart is not able to pump sufficient amount of blood), arrhythmia (abnormal heart rhythm), electrolyte disturbances (abnormal concentration of electrolyte levels in the body) especially low potassium levels, and/or bradycardia (slow heart beat) as it may worsen your condition.

Peripheral Neuropathy

Tendonitis or tendon rupture
