What is it prescribed for?

This contrast agent is used in central nervous system magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to visualize the lesions and abnormalities of blood vessels in the brain, spine and other associated tissues.

This contrast agent is used in vascular system magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to visualize the abnormalities of blood vessels in brain, spine and associated tissues, head, neck, and body.

General warnings

Hypotension

Magnevist Injection may lower the blood pressure in some patients on therapy. Close monitoring of the blood pressure levels, appropriate dose adjustments, or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required in some cases based on the clinical condition.

Allergic reactions

This contrast agent should be used with extreme caution in patients with a history of an allergic reaction to contrast media, bronchial asthma or allergic disorders. If symptoms of allergic reactions occur, discontinue immediately and initiate appropriate treatment.
