Description
Lubricart-D Tablet is a combination medicine that consists of glucosamine sulfate, potassium chloride, diacerein and methylsulfonylmethane. It is used for the treatment of pain, stiffness and swelling of your joints associated with osteoarthritis. It works by promoting the formation of cartilage (the soft tissue surrounding your joints) which helps in joint repair.
Lubricart-D Tablet may cause some side effects like headache, diarrhoea, urine discolouration, dizziness, nausea, constipation, etc. Seek medical help if these symptoms become severe or persist for a long time. Do not perform any activity that requires concentration like driving vehicles or operating machines as this medicine may cause drowsiness and dizziness.
Lubricart-D Tablet should be taken with food to avoid any stomach discomfort. Take it exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Do not skip a dose of this medicine. Inform your doctor if there is no improvement even after using this medicine.
Lubricart-D Tablet may not be suitable for everyone. Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you have any problems with your kidneys, heart or liver. What is it prescribed for?
Osteoarthritis
Osteoarthritis is a condition in which the protective tissue between your bone joints wears off over time leading to tenderness and pain in your joints You are more prone to this condition if you are obese or above 65 years of age. Lubricart-D Tablet is used for treating pain, swelling, and tissue degeneration (breakdown), caused by Osteoarthritis. This medicine takes some time to provide symptomatic relief, so it is given along with other painkillers for the initial part of the treatment.

Allergy

Avoid taking a diet rich in fibres and phytates, while using Lubricart-D Tablet. A rich diet with high fibres and phytates (beans, nuts and seeds) may interfere with the absorption of this medicine.
