Description
Lipicure-D 20 Tablet is a combination of Atorvastatin and Cholecalciferol. It is used to lower the levels of bad cholesterol (LDL), fats (triglycerides) and increase the levels of good cholesterol (HDL) in your body. Thus, it prevents the risk of heart attack and stroke (damage to the brain due to interrupted blood flow).
Lipicure-D 20 Tablet works by blocking the enzyme responsible for the formation of bad cholesterol and fats in your body.
Lipicure-D 20 Tablet may cause some side effects like stomach pain, constipation, and muscle weakness. Usually, these side effects resolve with time. Let your doctor know if you notice yellowing of your skin, muscle pain or dark urine. Avoid taking this medicine if you are previously allergic to it.
Lipicure-D 20 Tablet should be taken with food to avoid any stomach discomfort. For the ease of remembering, take this medicine around the same time every day. You may have to take this medicine for a long time. Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor tells you to do so.
Lipicure-D 20 Tablet may interact with the action of other medicines. Inform your doctor about any other health issues you have or if you are undergoing any medical treatment before taking this medicine. What is it prescribed for?
Primary Hypercholesterolemia
Lipicure-D 20 Tablet is used to treat primary hypercholesterolemia, a condition characterised by high levels of cholesterol in your blood.
Mixed Dyslipidemia
Lipicure-D 20 Tablet is used to reduce high levels of LDL cholesterol (bad cholesterol) and triglycerides (fats) in your blood. It also increases the levels of high-density cholesterol (good cholesterol).
Lowering cholesterol levels lowers your risk of heart disease and stroke. It also contains Vitamin D3 supplements, which aid in the relief of any muscular discomfort produced by the cholesterol-lowering medication.
Homozygous Familial Hypercholesterolemia
Homozygous Familial Hypercholesterolemia is a genetic disorder characterized by high cholesterol levels. Lipicure-D 20 Tablet is used to lower the cholesterol levels in your body.

Missed Dose
If you missed a dose of Lipicure-D 20 Tablet, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next, skip the missed dose. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.
Overdose
Never take more than the prescribed dose of Lipicure-D 20 Tablet. If you suspect that you might have taken an overdose of this medicine, go to the nearer emergency medical department/hospital.
