Description

Lipaglyn Tablet is a medicine used in the treatment of high triglycerides and cholesterol levels in diabetic people that are not controlled by treatment with statin (a class of medicines used to lower blood cholesterol and fats levels). This medicine reduces the levels of bad cholesterol and triglycerides and increases the levels of good cholesterol in your blood. It is also effective in controlling blood sugar levels and may be used as an add-on treatment for diabetes (high blood sugar levels). Lipaglyn Tablet is also indicated for the treatment of Noncirrhoic Non-Alcohol Steatohepatitis (NASH is a liver condition causing inflammation and liver damage due to the build-up of fat in the liver) and Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD) with comorbidities such as obesity, type 2 diabetes mellitus, high blood cholesterol levels, or metabolic syndrome. NAFLD is a liver condition characterised by the accumulation of excess fat in the liver that is not caused by alcohol. Lipaglyn Tablet may cause side effects like headache, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, etc. Consult your doctor if these side effects last for a long time or become severe. Lipaglyn Tablet can be taken with or without food as instructed by your doctor. Avoid taking more or less than the recommended dose. For ease of remembering, take this medicine around the same time every day. Avoid the discontinuation of Lipaglyn Tablet without consulting your doctor, as it may worsen your condition. Lipaglyn Tablet is not recommended for use if you are allergic to it. Inform your doctor if you have liver, kidney, or heart problems. Also, inform your doctor if you are taking any other medicines as they may interact with Lipaglyn Tablet and cause altered effects of either medication or increased risk of side effects. Lipaglyn Tablet is not recommended for use in children below 18 years of age. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant, or are breastfeeding before taking this medicine.
