Description

Homide Eye Drops is a medicine used to widen the pupil before an eye examination or eye surgery. It is also used to treat uveitis, a condition that causes swelling in the middle layer of the eye. This medicine works by relaxing the muscles of your eyes, thus helping to dilate or widen your pupil (the black circular opening in the centre of the eye that allows light to enter the eye). It also helps reduce pain and swelling. Homide Eye Drops shows common side effects such as dry mouth, stinging and burning sensation in the eyes, mild irritation, etc. These side effects usually subside with time. However, if they persist or worsen, consult your doctor for further assistance. Avoid driving vehicles or operating heavy machines while taking this medication as it can cause temporary blurring of vision and increased sensitivity to light. Homide Eye Drops should be instilled as directed by your doctor. Avoid instilling more than the recommended dose. Wash your hand thoroughly before instilling the eye drop. Take off your contact lenses before administering the eye drop and wait for at least 15 to 20 before inserting them back. Close your eyes for one or two minutes after instilling the eye drop. Do not touch the tip of the eye drop with your hands or let it touch any other surface to avoid contamination. Homide Eye Drops is not recommended if you are allergic to it or have glaucoma (increased pressure in the eyes due to fluid accumulation). Homide Eye Drops should only be instilled during pregnancy and while breastfeeding after consulting your doctor due to the lack of safety information.
