Description

Flucos 0.5 % Gel is an antifungal medicine that consists of Fluconazole. It is used in the treatment of various fungal infections of the skin like athlete's foot (itchy, scaly, and white patches between the toes), jock itch (a red and itchy rash in warm and moist areas of the body), ringworm (red, itchy, and circular-shaped rashes with clear skin in the middle affecting the skin, scalp, or nails), etc. This medicine works by killing the fungi by damaging the fungal cell membrane (protective covering). Thus, it prevents the spread of fungal infections. Flucos 0.5 % Gel may cause mild side effects like itching, burning sensation, irritation, and redness at the site of application. Consult your doctor if these side effects persist or worsen. Flucos 0.5 % Gel is for external use only. Clean and dry the affected area before applying the gel. Apply a thin layer over the affected parts of your skin. Avoid contact with your eyes and mouth. Rinse with water immediately if the medicine comes in contact with these areas. Flucos 0.5 % Gel may take a few days or weeks for improving your condition. Therefore, it is advised to complete the whole treatment as prescribed by your doctor. Consult your doctor if your condition has not improved even after six weeks of treatment. Flucos 0.5 % Gel should be avoided if you are allergic to it. Inform your doctor if you are using any other topical medicines or have any other skin conditions. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or are breastfeeding before using Flucos 0.5 % Gel.
